Third Edition of Pride and Prejudice

Description: Book condition: Very Good.  Very Good.  THIRD EDITION of only three published by the original publisher in the author’s lifetime. The book would not be reprinted until the 1830s.  Contemporary three-quarter maroon calf over marbled boards, with marbled endpapers and black leather spine labels.  Complete with BOTH HALF-TITLES.  The bindings are rubbed and scuffed and the front free endpaper and preliminaries of volume two are a little loose but still attached.  Old owner signatures at the head of the title-pages else, internally, the books are very clean.  Prices for the first edition of this title have soared in recent years, making this an affordable opportunity to own a contemporary set of what is arguable the preeminent novel in the English language.
